Why AEPS Exists
Most estate planning information available online is national in scope, but estate planning law is not. Families searching for answers often encounter general information that doesn’t fully apply to their state. This creates confusion, leads to misunderstandings, and sometimes results in costly planning decisions.
The American Estate Planning Series was created to address that gap. It combines:
• Clear explanations of core estate planning concepts
• State-specific guidance reflecting each state’s legal framework
• Input from experienced estate planning attorneys to ensure accuracy and practical relevance
The goal is not simply to create more content.
The goal is to create clear, reliable estate planning education organized by state—so people can understand how things actually work where they live.
How This Works (For Attorneys)
1. Contributing Attorney — State Partner
One attorney per state is selected as the Contributing Attorney.
This is a long-term role focused on helping shape how estate planning is explained and understood in your state.
Typical involvement includes:
Reviewing state-specific educational content
Providing practical guidance based on real-world experience
Participating in updates as laws and planning strategies evolve
2. What This Role Provides
One-per-state positioning as the featured attorney
Visibility tied to a growing educational platform
Association with a structured, long-term content system
Opportunity to build authority beyond your immediate local market
3. Educational Video Opportunity
Many attorneys want to create educational videos but never develop a system around it.
AEPS provides structure and guidance for:
state-specific educational videos
clear, practical explanations of planning concepts
content that helps families understand how planning actually works
Videos may be featured on:
your state’s AEPS pages
the American Estate Planning Series YouTube channel

Why This Is Different From Simply Creating Your Own Content
Many attorneys can create their own educational content. AEPS is not built around simply posting videos.
The value of participation is in how state-specific educational content is:
🔹 positioned within a broader platform designed around one attorney per state
🔹 organized into a long-term educational system rather than isolated posts
🔹 connected to a growing state-specific presence that may include resource pages, video libraries, and book-based credibility
🔹 structured to build long-term authority and visibility over time
AEPS participation is designed for attorneys who want to build a long-term educational presence within a broader state-specific platform — not simply publish isolated content independently.
AEPS is intended for attorneys who want more than independent content creation alone.
Future Expansion: Metro Opportunities (Later Stage)
The primary focus of AEPS is the one-per-state Contributing Attorney role.
As the platform expands, additional opportunities may open for attorneys in specific metro areas.
These roles are designed to:
provide a local point of contact for individuals who prefer working with an attorney in their immediate area
complement the statewide educational role of the Contributing Attorney
support long-term platform growth as more content and resources are developed
This is a later phase of development and not the primary focus during early expansion.
Additional details on metro participation will be shared as the platform evolves.

Why This Opportunity Exists
The Future of Estate Planning Education
Consumer behavior is changing rapidly. More people are using AI tools, online education, and digital resources to better understand estate planning before they ever contact an attorney.
This discussion explores why trusted educational guidance may become even more valuable in the years ahead — and why educational authority may increasingly matter for estate planning attorneys.
Important Notes
AEPS is designed as a long-term educational platform—not a traditional lead generation service.
🔹 The focus is on building clear, state-specific educational resources
🔹 Participation is intended to support long-term professional visibility, not short-term advertising
🔹 AEPS does not set fees or control attorney-client relationships
Participation is limited:
🔹 One Contributing Attorney is selected per state
🔹 Additional attorneys may be included in select metro areas over time
🔹 Current Contributing Attorneys are expected to receive priority consideration regarding future metro participation opportunities within their states
🔹 All participation is reviewed to ensure alignment with the educational goals of the platform
Early Expansion Participation
AEPS is currently expanding into additional states on a selective basis.
🔹 Current participation rate: $495/month
🔹 Participation is intended for attorneys helping shape the platform state by state
🔹 Participation terms may evolve over time as additional states are added and platform visibility continues to expand
🔹 Existing founder-state attorneys retain their original participation terms
